Suspension:

Suspension is one of the most important aspects of a motorcycle so why not make sure yours is working to the best of its ability.

A good starting point is to set the compression, rebound and pre-load positions to those recommended by the manufacturer of your motorcycle. This will give a good base setting for you to try and determine what the suspension is doing, where its weak spots are and how you might set about improving its performance.

Most manufacturers suspension units are of relatively good quality and performance today. Years ago this certainly was not the case. The power and performance of a motorcycle engine soon had the chassis in all kinds of trouble. Thankfully, those days are pretty much behind us.

Suspension Setup Service:

Here at Chris Gunster Performance we can set your suspension up for you in our ride in ride out service.  Our technician will talk to you and discuss your requirements and determine what problems you think you are experiencing with your motorcycles suspension. We will then discover what you mainly use your bike for and the way in which you ride your motorcycle.

Once this discussion has taken place and our technician has a good idea of what you require he will then set about tuning your motorcycles suspension to your requirements.

This can be achieved on all modern sports bikes and many of today's naked retro motorcycles to great effect.

We would then ask you to go for a ride on your bike to determine whether the changes made have had the desired effect before we finish our work.

Suspension Service:

Our technicians can also service your suspension for you. Both forks and rear shocks can be serviced with new seals, springs, guides, valves, oil and air gap.

Forks can be completely stripped and serviced in our workshop where we have all the equipment required to totally dismantle, check and rebuild them to your required specification.

Shocks are sent to K-TECH who offer us a fantastic, fast and reliable service for our customers.
